.Net Developer
Position Details:
Contego Tech Solutions has opportunities for a .Net developer with experience in desktop and web-based applications. Contego provides IT infrastructure and integrated software solutions to our broad range of clients in Canada.

As one of the first members of our Application Development group, you will be involved in all aspects of the software development and implementation lifecycle. We work together as a team using a rapid development methodology that allows us to generate exciting solutions for our clients. As a group we meet regularly to discuss issues and workload to ensure that everyone keeps a healthy balance between life and work.
Our web-based and desktop solutions are built on Microsoft's .NET platform, so the successful candidate is expected to possess a broad range of technical skills that will allow him or her to implement functionality across all layers of the application environment using best practices for service-oriented solutions.
You are:

Your primary responsibilities:
- Develop .Net windows desktop and web-based solutions using Visual Studio 2010
- Participate in all aspects of design, development and implementation of software applications
- Communicate effectively with our clients
- Prepare design and user documentation
- Interact with staff members in an effective and professional manner
You must possess:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant university degree or diploma from an accredited technical institute.
- Experience with developing software solutions using Visual Studio.
- Experience with SQL Server and Oracle.
- Strong motivation with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
These would be nice to have:
- Experience working with the MS Dynamics ERP Solutions, Biztalk development environments, Sharepoint, etc.
- Experience developing using the MS Dynamics API
- Experience developing with the DevExpress Suite
- Experience in test-driven development methodologies and rapid development approaches

IT Consultant
Position Details:
Contego Tech Solutions has serveral opportunities for IT Consultants with experience at all levels of infrastructure support from Servers to Networking to Security. Contego provides IT infrastructure and integrated software solutions to our broad range of clients in Canada. Opportunities for client pre-sales support exist for the right candidate.

As a member of our support team, the IT Consultant at Contego will be able to work with customer needs from fixing problems to designing solutions to selecting equipment and implementing the result. The team meets regularly to discuss issues and balance work so that everyone keeps a work life balance.
Contego partners with tier one vendors to provide best of breed solutions to our customers. We provide online support logging for our customers and management tools to monitor and fix issues before our customers see any effects.
Your primary responsibilities:
- Provide assigned clients with solutions in the areas of application management, business process services, infrastructure management, technology management, and systems integration
- Partner with clients in the development and implementation of IT strategies that support business needs
- Assist in the creation, interpretation and implementation of IT policies and programs
- Offer guidance to clients to properly address IT issues
- Provide recommendations to enhance or streamline IT processes, procedures, and practices
- Assist in special projects as the business dictates
- Travel to client sites as required
You must possess:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or related area
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a IT Consultant role
- Industry designations such as MCSE, MCDBA, Cisco Certification, A+, and Vendor Hardware Certifications are an asset
- Good troubleshooting/problem solving skills and analytical ability
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build strong relationships
- Demonstrated working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Server 2008, Small Business Server, SQL Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint Server, etc.
- Network, Firewall, and VPN solutions
- Oil & Gas or engineering applications
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio
- Aptitude for learning software quickly with minimal instruction
- Reliable mode of transportation
These would be nice to have:
- Linux, Unix, and Macintosh operating systems
- Server virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V) and Application (Citrix) environments
- Experience working with the MS Dynamics solutions
