Position Details: Contego Tech Solutions Inc. is currently looking for a proven professional to fill the position of Senior IT Consultant, Server & Networking. This opportunity is suited for a client focused professional who is a highly motivated individual who is passionate about making a difference and enjoys working in a self-starting environment with minimal supervision.  

Responsibilities:
•        Provide assigned clients with solutions in the areas of application management, business process
         services, infrastructure management, technology management, and systems integration;
•        Partner with clients in the development and implementation of IT strategies that support business needs; •        Assist in the creation, interpretation and implementation of IT policies and programs;
•        Offer guidance to clients to properly address IT issues;
•        Provide recommendations to enhance or streamline IT processes, procedures, and practices;
•        Assist in special projects as the business dictates; and
•        Travel to client sites as required.   Qualifications:
•        A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or related area;
•        Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a IT Consultant role;
•        Industry designations such as MCSE, MCDBA, Cisco Certification, A+, and Vendor Hardware
         Certifications are an asset;
•        Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work in a busy environment;
•        Good troubleshooting/problem solving skills and analytical ability;
•        Superior communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build strong relationships;
•        Demonstrated working knowledge of:
            o   Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Server 2008, Small Business Server, SQL Server, Exchange
                 Server, SharePoint Server, etc.
            o   Linux, Unix, and Macintosh operating systems
            o   Network, Firewall, and VPN solutions
            o   Oil & Gas or engineering applications
            o   Server virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V) and Application (Citrix) environments
            o   Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio
•        Aptitude for learning software quickly with minimal instruction; and
•        Reliable mode of transportation.
